Compassionate counsellor ready to help you feel better

Do you find relationships hard? Does life feel tough? Is there something you would like to address, but don't know who to talk to? Life can be challenging, and it is not always easy to share these things with friends or family. Counselling provides the opportunity to talk about your problems to a non-judgmental listener. This helps to take the weight out of issues that are such a burden. I believe that working together to explore how and why your concerns affect you can be transformative.

About me and my practice

I have over 500 hours of experience working with clients from a number of backgrounds and with a variety of situations, from students struggling with self-esteem, to older adults facing big life changes. I apply various counselling theories providing an approach which is tailored to you. We would look at what is happening for you in the present, and how this may be influenced by your past experiences. Exploring how past and present intersect can help you understand why you respond the way you do.
Working together online allows you to avoid commuting time, to fit counselling into your work day or meet with me in your own space, where you already feel comfortable. Anything you want to hand, from a cosy blanket, that note you made "to speak to Fiona about" or a cup of tea is with you. Working online is not a barrier to effective therapy or using creative tools.

Experience

I have over 500 hours of counselling experience gained over the past 3 years.
In addition to seeing private clients, I am employed by a local charity, mainly working with relationship issues and anxiety. In addition, I volunteer one day a week at a non-profit, providing low cost/free counselling.
My hashtags show my main areas of work but I have also worked with 'third culture' children, ADHD, autism, bi-polar disorder, domestic violence and sexual abuse.
